Index of Letters. Return to Letter 1.
Hello from Shandra.
This is the letter which started everything off. As far as we know this final published version is very similar to the original letter which I sent to Joseph in India. There was a penfriend club which produced a magazine called Five Continents and I got Joseph’s name from that club.
The few changes from the real letter are; - First, we changed Shandra's name and age; second, we changed her address from Waitakere to Titirangi; and third, she said her job was a stock broking clerk. These changes were made to fit in with later letters as we developed the character of Shanti.
The final change we made was the addition of the P.S. about a broadminded conversation. We did this when Anne and I began writing the letters to each other because we wanted the letters to become a lot sexier. We decided to begin this sexy theme right from the start.
Well now go off and read this letter which you will find via the links on this page.

Hi Ayaka and Anne
ReplyDeleteSo this is what you two have been doing lately. Looks impressive. Ayaka has asked me to read everything from the beginning.
Asami
Are these letters real? I thought you were making them up.
ReplyDeleteAmy.
Hi again Amy.
DeleteGood to see you went for the background too.
No only the first few are real.
All the rest were written by us.

Interesting Anne.
ReplyDeleteSo these first letter were real. Somewhere in India may find this and think: What did I miss out on?
