Rochelle and Simon - Poems.

All Is Not As It Seems.
      Two poems by Simon and Rochelle.

Dec 2013:-    As these poems were republished here, Simon and Rochelle have made some minor changes based on suggestions from readers and the writing team. Most of these were just words here and there so essentially the same as they were published in the comments. I have included the Letters they appeared under and their date of publishing so you can view the original versions too. This is an on-going project so expect more sections to be added as they get published.

March 2014:-        Now we are still adding to this page but things have changed. They are no longer publishing them in the comments but just sending them directly to me. They tell me when I publish them here.
          Rochelle has been struggling with her side so she asked for help. As this project has continued more people have become involved. I want to welcome Christine, Simon's girl friend to the Letter's Books. She is helping him. I know Allan and his father are helping Rochelle. I think her husband Marceau is involved too. Of course, I am in it too as I'm doing the on-line editing and publishing.
          There are others, both writers and readers, adding suggestions & ideas.  (Asami.)

Upon the poolside, I was seeking a fish
         Just as my luck was gone, I spotted her
The most beautiful fish to be found.
         She knew I was seeking for one like her
She just lay there in the shallow pool
         She knew I could reach in and take her.
But something stopped me, stayed my hand.
         I stood and admired the beauty of her.
Until finally she turns, glided silently way.
         Now I have only the memory of her.

A kind of man spoke one day
In a country far from here
Just exchanged words
In relation to a football match
Then, as two ships we parted
Each of us sailed separately
Both on a different journey
Destined to pass a different way.

That night I toss restlessly in my bed,
         My thoughts are only of you.
Should I have left you in the pool?
         Should I have reached and caught you?
It is in the early hours that I hear it.
         Could it be real? Am I dreaming?
Did I really hear you calling me?
         Was it really my beauty from the pool?
I resolve first thing in the morning
         I will return to the pool where I saw you.
Then finally with my mind now at rest
         I snatch a few hours sleep before dawn.

We were like two beautiful sailing ships.
At adjoining docks making ready to sail.
He was a towering, majestic Full-rigged Clipper
I am a plain ordinary, Topsail Schooner,
With curiosity I glanced over at him
Admired his lines and three towering masts.
With so many yardarms, he’d wear so many sails
I imagined seeing him under sail
Far upon the ocean, far from land.
So handsome, at the peak of his career,
But he would never be interested in me
Or give me a second glance.

It was still the cool of the early morning,
         When I reached that clear crystal pool.
All was quiet and still in this hidden spot.
         Not a breath of wind or ripple of water.
For a moment I thought she was gone.
        That voice in the night just a dream.
Then I caught a movement in the shadows,
        Yes it was her! She was coming towards me,
I placed my hands in the water as she came,
        She approached, then hesitated,
I felt her touch me, a touch like a kiss,
        As her mouth contacted my finger.
And she moved between my hands.
        For a few moments I gently held her,
Before slowly she moved, gliding away.

Then he looked in my direction,
I adverted my eyes but it was too late,
I knew he had caught me looking at him.
In my embarrassment I glanced up,
He was still looking, he gave me a smile.
In my confusion what could I do?
I returned his, with a smile of my own.
Before I lowered my eyes as shyness overcame.
When I took courage to look again,
Still he was gazing at me.
As he looked, I heard him say,
Vous êtes si belle, mon cher Rochelle.

I stepped into cold water sitting on a rock,
Leaning further forward, hands out stretched.
She held back, I thought I’d scared her,
Then she moved forward, towards me again.
Now she lay there, on my open palms.
As I raised her to the surface, I could see her beauty.
The smooth sweep and colours of her body,
Ahh! She was such a beauty, a sight to behold.
For a while she just lay there as I admired her,
Then I heard that voice in my head again.
“Come with me, come swim with me,” she said.
“Come, you will see, all is not as it seems.”

 The time came for our departure arrived,
Our parting, to our different ways.
I pulled away from the wharf first,
The wind caught my sails as I turned.
I was making for the harbour mouth,
Behind me, I saw him turning to follow.
I strained my best to keep ahead of him,
But swiftly, with ease, he caught me.
Slowing as he pulled alongside me.
“Come with me my lovely”, he whispered.
“I’ll take you to a secret, magic place,
A hidden place, where all is not as it seems.”

Letting her go, I stood, stepping forward
As I wadded deeper, she swum in front of me,
Soon it was deep enough to plunge in.
The water was colder than I expected.
This pool was deeper than it looked,
I tried to keep up but she delighted in teasing me,
Just as I caught her, she’d duck away,
Then lay there waiting for me to try again.
She approached me, halting in front of me.
Sensing the game was over I didn’t reach for her.
Suddenly clouds of bubbles erupted around her,
She had completely disappeared in swirling water,
I feared for her, reaching, attempting to save her.

We turned a way I had never went before.
With a full suite of sail, quickly he pulled away.
I did best but couldn’t keep up with him.
He noticed me and slowed, his topsails now reefed.
It was during the night we approached the island,
I strange shore, I hesitated worried about reefs,
Still he moved forward boldly so I followed.
He continued, almost to the surf he turned.
He turned running parallel with the beach,
He slowed, I was between him and the shore.
Suddenly he turned again cutting across my bow.
I had to avoid him taking myself into the surf.
I knew I was gone now, certain to be wrecked.
I sickened as I felt my bow digging into the sand.
Now I despaired, for had he betrayed me
Taking me, leading me, to my own destruction.

The water calmed, and the bubbles cleared away,
I could see her before me again but she had changed.
No longer a beautiful fish, before me was a woman,
A woman of beauty far beyond description.
She smiled at me as she moved towards me.
I held out my hands and hers touched mine.
Through the clear water I could see she was naked.
Her golden tanned breasts just breaking the surface,
Crowned with hard dark nipples at their peaks.
I pulled her to me, her breasts pressed against me,
Her head came up and our lips met.
She was hesitant at first, unsure what to do,
Then more boldly she pressed, her tongue seeking mine.
When we parted, she looked up at me.
“You have me for one day,” I heard her whisper.
“I must return here before the sun rises again.”

I opened my eyes and myself laying on the beach.
But I felt strange, felt different from before.
I looked down and discovered I had changed,
My ship body was gone I taken human form.
I raised my hands, yes I had hands now,
Then I dropped my fingers touch my body.
My fingers felt my body, my body felt my fingers.
As my fingers moved the sensations followed,
I moved up towards the swelling peaks of my breast,
Felt the softness and the hard nipple at its peak.
My other hand moved down to my firm thigh,
My fingers continued to explore by new body,
To discover the thick forest between my thighs.
Below found the opening of my woman-hood.
Oh the thrilling feeling as I touched myself there,
Feelings like nothing I could ever imagine.

Taking her hand, to step up out of the water,
Again she hesitates, unsure to leave the pool,
Gently I tell her, “Trust your body,
It seems to know what to do.”
She smiles, and takes my hand,
As I help her step out of the pool.
Now I could see the full extent of her beauty,
As naked she stood before me.
She watched as I removed my clothes,
Then stepped towards me as I reached for her.
I felt her body brush against mine.
It felt different somehow, cooler than normal.
Then she pressed her breasts against me,
Our lips met and we kissed.

I hear a sound beside me,
Looking I discover he is beside me.
He has taken human form as well,
A handsome man, a handsome body.
He looked at me and smiled,
Then his hand reached to take mine,
A while later we tried to stand.
My new body seemed to know what to do.
Naked, I stood before him,
Then he stepped forward to take me in his arms.
“The sun is about to rise,” he tells me.
“We have one day, one day to be together,
But we must return to the ocean,
Before the sun rises for a second time.”

She came to me, my arms wrapped around her;
       Our bodies came together, as our lips met.
I pulled her down to me, down upon the soft grass;
       Our bodies rolled together until I was above her.
Her eyes opened as I entered her, not of pain but surprise;
       Then she relaxes, a deep throaty moan in my ear.
The enjoyment that followed was totally amazing,
        The climax when it came breath taking.

We lay beside each other recovering,
       Then her hand slipped into mine as she said,
                "Come with me. See my world."
She took me into the pool swimming deep;
       Towards the bubbles clustered at the centre.
I feared to enter but she boldly urged me on;
       The column swept my feet away left my body tingling.
The bubbles cleared as a beautiful fish appeared;
       In shock I realised I had changed too,
               Become a creature of fins and tail.

It wasn't easy mastering my new body;
        All my efforts, I flapped around uselessly.
Then her thoughts came to me sharp and clear,
       "Think where you will to go," she told.
                Your new body will remember how."
I relaxed and followed, my body in control;
       What a thrill, a dance of joy and love.
Swirling around each other, over and under;
       Chasing each other between rocks and plants.
Leaping from the water, plunging to dark depths;
       Never had I known freedom such as this.

She came beside me, her thoughts came again,
        "Before sunrise a choice must be made.
On the shore we will always have our human form;
        In the pool our from will forever remain trout."
Which to live, which to choose;
        Each had its strengths and weaknesses.
It began to get lighter with the coming dawn;
        We raced for the bubbles to take human form.
Then the first rays of the sun touched the water;
         We were caught in the bubbles, halfway changed;
                  Not fish nor human something between.

Now our days are spent in the pool,
        Ducking and diving, swirling around;
Two beautiful trout enjoying the water,
        Enjoying the freedom of the pool.
Our nights are spent on the grassy shore,
        To humans in love together.
Making deep passionate love,
        Until the first light of dawn.
