A Short History of The Letters Story.
Letters started out as a series of letters between a girl from New Zealand and a man from India. The first couple of letters were actually real. My friend Shandra exchanged letters with a man called Joseph in India. It turned out this guy was actually married so Shandra never replied. Then I asked the question; What would have happened if she had written back? The blog you have in front of you is the answer to that question or at least one possible answer.
Later, as the series developed and other characters were added it became more a swapping of sexy stories rather than a complete history of correspondence. The On-line version currently has over 180 letters/stories and has been divided into 10 volumes with another two volumes currently still being written. As I said above the main story is divided up into letters/stories and our plan is to add a letter and its background story whenever we can. At the same time, we will change the wallpaper photo of one of us girls.

About Background Stories.
One idea we had was to write a book providing an account of how the Letter Series evolved. This has been done in this blog with a parallel series of posts called backgrounds. As a letter/story is added each week, usually the person most involved in writing it will post a short background story about their letter, containing things like where the idea came from etc. These backgrounds might also contain some interesting real stories about us and some of our own sexual adventures so be sure to read them.
Now - The best way to read this story?
We suggest you should go directly to the Index Pages - called Index of Letters - Stories 1 - 87 and Index of Letters - Stories 88 - ???. On these pages, you will find an index for the entire series, including both those posted and those yet to be posted. As a letter is posted, its name on this list is made bold, its font colour is changed and it will also be linked to the new story posted. We will usually post a new story every Friday at about 6am NZ time. The wallpaper photograph will usually be changed at the same time.
This blog is changing regularly, almost daily at times so keep up to date with new additions and developments by using the What is New Here page. This will give you links to anything new that we think might be of interest to you.

Since all these letters are connected and become one very big story we suggest you first read them in the order in which they were posted on-line. After reading a letter/story you can either return to the index or use the links at the top or bottom to move to the next letter/story. Make sure you remember to check the backgrounds for some interesting stories along the way.
Some of the first letters might seem a bit boring but stick with it, you will find things get better and sexier as you go along. We have also added a few extra pages for you to explore. The first, The Writers Page, contains a bit about each of us writers with a few more pics too. The second page which I have already mentioned above, is the "Index of Letters" pages, a complete list of the entire Letters series as it currently is now. A quick look down this list will give you a hint of what is coming later in the Letters of Shanti and Joseph Series. Now we are working on the page listing the Cast of Letters so if you come across a person in a letter/story, you can flick to this page to find out more about that character and how they fit into the Letters story.
There are some extra story pages are currently being written as well. The Katrina Story page is taking all the stories about her through Vols 5 to 7 and putting them together as one story. This will follow her from when she first discovered Letters to when she loses her virginity.
The second page called Brian's Page. This is a real account of one man's experiences when he discovers the Letters Project as he begins dating Susan, one of our writing team. It also is a great insight into the writing of one of our larger early stories, all in one week while nude camping.
Two of our readers, Rochelle from France and Simon from New Zealand, have begun writing their own page consisting of two rather unusual and erotic poems. See Rochelle and Simon - Poems.

So Time to Get Started.
So off you go, its time to get started. Go to Letter One, and begin your journey. Take your time, read the letters, read their backgrounds, enjoy the story and enjoy getting to know us writers and the characters we write about. There is no hurry, we are going no-where. We suggest that you work slowly through the series coming back regularly to read another a bit more as you have time. Eventually, you will catch up with our latest posts.
