Index of Letters. Return to Story 6.

The letter opens with Joseph confirming that he has kept his wife informed about his correspondence with Shanti. He even goes as far as saying that she is enjoying the letters and photographs Shanti is sending. So this is the beginning of the fourth character of the Letters Book, Lizamoa. We will see a lot more of Lizamoa who, like Mike, quickly gets involved in the letters and later the adventures as well.
Joseph then mentions that he enjoyed seeing Shanti in her swimsuit. As we expected he asks for the sexy bikini too. No surprises there. He is even bold enough to suggest even less than her bikini too. I think that was another surprise for Anne when I wrote that. But I was thinking even back then that Shanti would eventually send him some nude photos.

>Now the main part of this letter is taken up with a story Joseph tells about a girl he meets on a train. Without even knowing each other’s name, they quickly get into some very bold feeling-up while her parents are sitting just nearby.
This story is actually based partly on something which happened to me on a train in Auckland. I was travelling home from work and when I got on, the only spare seat was next to a guy a bit older than me. As we travelled, the rocking of the train caused this guy to fall asleep and then his leg drifted over until it was pressed against mine.
At first, I didn’t know what to do until finally, I gave him a bump. He woke with a start, then realising where his leg was, gave a quick embarrassed “Sorry” as he moved his leg away.
That was it. That was all that happened but being a young seventeen-year-old with a runaway imagination, I was a bit turned on by this older man touching me like that. I talked to Susan and Anne about it and quickly we made it into the story which appears in this letter.
Three girls with overactive imaginations you might be saying. Yes, you're probably right.

So that is our longest letter so far and the first of many stories. As time goes by you will find the Letters Project will drift towards posting stories rather than our original theme of a correspondence between two people from two different countries. But that is getting ahead of ourselves. For the moment you should just enjoy the letters as they are posted each week.
So now go and read Joseph’s story about ‘The Girl on the Train’ (Letter 6). Next week Shanti is bold enough to send him photos of herself in both bikinis, the sexy one and the more modest one.
Kia Kaka - Kia Kaha.
Be safe - Be strong.
Shanti and Mike.

There is a comment in this background that is so good.

I think that sums things up fairly well.

So have I got this right? There are two important firsts with this letter. It is the first move from letters to stories. It is also the first time Susan, the third writer became involved.
